Multiplex panels are true all-rounders among panel materials. Their special construction provides high dimensional stability and durability. This is achieved through a minimum 5-layer structure made of solid wood veneers glued at 90-degree angles. The birch multiplex panel offered here, d+d, BFU 100, BB/BB, is made of birch wood, the standard wood used for multiplex panels. The panel is weather-resistant due to BFU 100 bonding and can therefore withstand higher humidity, but it should not be permanently exposed to damp or wet conditions. Separate impregnation is required for such use. BB/BB refers to the veneer quality and primarily describes the visual condition of the panel's top and bottom surfaces. Knots, including filled knots, as well as minor cracks, discoloration and filled areas are permitted. BB/BB is a widely used grade. Multiplex panels are suitable for professional, DIY and craft applications, for example for building and expanding furniture, tables and shelves, and for cladding and formwork for bars, counters or walls. The natural birch plywood panels are also versatile for hobbies, decor, model making, floristry and creative craft projects such as woodworking and design, and are ideally suited for further processing.
