This geotechnical cell is a cellular grid structure made from high-strength HDPE strips that are strongly welded together. It is retractable and can be folded for transport. During use, it expands to be filled with soil, stone, or concrete, providing strong lateral restraint and structural rigidity. It can be used as a base layer to increase the load-bearing capacity of soft ground, placed on slopes to create a slope-protection structure, or used to build a retaining structure. It is suitable for driveway installations on slopes and/or level surfaces. The grid is widely used for various groundworks, including sandy areas, permafrost regions, and collapsible loess.
