Description
- Synchronous rectification technology significantly reduces rectifier losses at the output of the switching power supply, improving conversion efficiency and reducing heat generation.
- The power MOSFET is a voltage-controlled device with a linear volt-ampere characteristic when switched on.
- The LED driver voltage module can significantly improve converter efficiency and eliminates the dead-band voltage caused by the Schottky barrier voltage.
- When a power MOSFET is used as a rectifier, its voltage must be synchronized with the input voltage to perform the rectification function; this is called synchronous rectification.
- Synchronous rectification uses a MOSFET with very low on-resistance instead of a rectifier diode to reduce rectification losses.
