This filter absorbs 4 stops of light, providing balanced exposure and improved depth-of-field control. High-Trans Titanium filters offer very high transmission characteristics with multilayer coatings and a titanium oxide component. The filter is mounted in a lightweight metal ring with a matte-black, anti-reflective inner ring and a titanium-finish outer ring that identifies the titanium oxide component in the filter. The new coatings increase hardness and reduce the tendency to smudge.
