The 1.4310 spring flat bar is made from an austenitic chromium-nickel steel. Spring steel 1.4310 contains at least 16% chromium and at least 6% nickel. The material is characterized by good formability, weldability, and corrosion resistance. It also offers good polishability and cold-forming properties, as well as moderate machinability. The magnetizability of 1.4310 changes as a result of cold forming. Spring steel 1.4310 is suitable for manufacturing corrosion-resistant springs and high-strength components, achieving very high tensile strength values. The material is also widely used in the automotive industry and mechanical engineering. Other application areas for X10CrNi18-8 include electronic equipment, the chemical industry, and the food industry.
