This 28-pin DIP IC socket has two rows of round, straight pins and serves as an interface between an IC chip and a printed circuit board. It allows the chip to be inserted and removed without soldering the chip directly to the PCB. The socket is heat-resistant and provides pin stability for repeated installation and removal. To replace or install a chip, disconnect the chip from the socket. The spacing and row spacing of the socket holes must match the spacing and row spacing of the chip pins. Suitable for use with PCBs in electronics, appliances, and measuring equipment.
