These Forstner drill bits are designed for clean, accurate holes in softwood and hardwood. The sharp center spur locates the hole precisely, while the two spurs support repeated drilling. They can drill flat-bottomed holes in various thicknesses, including holes in any direction, curved openings, and partially overlapping holes. The bits are made of carbide and carbon steel, with a tungsten carbide cutting tip that receives special heat treatment for a sharp cutting edge, high hardness, and extended use. Use with a powered drilling tool, which is not included. Drill only clockwise, starting at a low speed and gradually increasing it. Do not drill metal or non-ferrous metal. Sharpen the cutting edge and tip when necessary; dull or damaged tips can reduce drilling accuracy and quality.
