It uses the 868.4 MHz Z-Wave frequency band in CEPT countries and Z-Wave 800 Series technology, with automatic setup using SmartStart and Security 2 Authenticated for a high level of security. Firmware updates are available over the air. The device works with Z-Wave-certified gateways and more than 4,000 Z-Wave devices.
