The combined belt and disc sander Scheppach BTS900 is suitable for a wide range of detail work on all types of wood and wood-like materials. Its powerful yet smooth-running 370 W induction motor provides low-vibration operation. The tilting work table and sanding belt adjustable through 90 enable a wide range of applications. The BTS900 sanding belt can be used horizontally or vertically to meet different requirements. The sanding support angle can be adjusted from 0 to +90 using an Allen key. The 915 mm-long sanding belt runs counterclockwise at 7.3 m/s. Its 80-grit surface smooths both straight and rounded wood surfaces. Three sanding belts are included. For greater stability and increased pressure during sanding, the belt sander features a metal stop. This makes it easier to guide workpieces across the belt sander and achieve uniform sanding results. The stop can also be removed when working with longer pieces. The sanding disc has a diameter of 150 mm and rotates at a constant speed of 2,850 rpm. Sandpaper is secured to the disc with hook-and-loop fastening, allowing it to be changed quickly when needed. Three sanding discs are included for a quick start. For disc sanding, the workpiece is placed on the 215 x 145 mm work table. For effective angle sanding, the aluminum work table can be continuously tilted up to 45. A groove runs lengthwise across the work table for the included miter gauge, which allows angle adjustment from -60 to +60. The workpiece is placed against the miter gauge and guided along the sanding disc at the desired angle. Dust-free working is possible with the integrated extraction port. Simply connect a dust extraction system to help prevent the workshop from being covered with a fine layer of sawdust. Overall, the BTS900 is a compact sanding machine for DIY users who want to perform smaller sanding tasks in straight, concave, or convex shapes with minimal effort.
