ROCKWOOL RS 800 aluminum-faced mineral wool pipe sections for insulating heating, hot-water, and cold-water pipes. The aluminum facing is tear-resistant and features an overlap with a self-adhesive strip. The pipe sections are made from concentrically wound mineral wool and faced with a tear-resistant, grid-reinforced aluminum sandwich foil with a self-adhesive overlap. For easy installation, the pipe sections are slit lengthwise on one side and grooved on the inside. Applications: - Thermal insulation of heating and hot-water pipes in accordance with the German Energy Saving Ordinance (EnEV) - Potable-water pipe systems - Solar lines - Pipe systems in industrial and building-services installations - Fire-protection cladding for combustible pipes in escape and rescue routes ROCKWOOL 800 is also part of the Conlit R90 firestop system, where it is used as continuing insulation before and after the penetration. For shipbuilding applications, an EC type-examination certificate and approvals from various classification societies are available. Suitable for use in paint shops.
