1 Rockwool 800 aluminum-laminated pipe section, 1 m long, available in various dimensions. Description: Rockwool 800 pipe sections are made from concentrically wound stone wool. They are laminated with a tear-resistant, grid-reinforced aluminum sandwich foil with a self-adhesive overlap. The sections are slit lengthwise on one side and sawn on the inside for easier installation. Application: Thermal insulation for heating and hot-water pipes in accordance with the German Building Energy Act (GEG), formerly the Energy Saving Ordinance (EnEV); drinking-water pipelines in accordance with DIN 1988-200:2015-05; solar lines; and pipelines in building services installations. Rockwool 800 can also be used as fire protection cladding for combustible pipes in escape and rescue routes. It is part of the Conlit firestop system, where it is required as additional insulation.
