Rhododendron Hybrid 'Markgraf' is a winter-hardy, evergreen perennial ornamental shrub for gardens and beds. Its intensely red flowers create a striking contrast with the deep green foliage and provide a distinctive garden display from spring into summer. The compact, dense growth habit is ideal for use as a specimen plant or in group plantings. As a low-maintenance rhododendron, it enhances flower beds, front gardens, and entrance areas with attractive accents. It prefers a partially shaded to shaded location with acidic, humus-rich, consistently moist soil. A layer of mulch helps retain moisture and protect the shallow roots. Regular watering with low-lime water and rhododendron fertilizer in spring support flower formation. The shrub tolerates pruning and can easily be shaped after flowering. It is ideal for bog gardens, evergreen hedges, borders, or large containers on patios and balconies. Rhododendron Hybrid 'Markgraf' combines decorative blooms with reliable winter hardiness for an attractive, long-lived rhododendron in the garden.
