Description

• Thermal stability: The cracking temperature is above 400, allowing normal operation from -60 to +350.
• Material benefits: Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), also known as Teflon or F4, is a copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene monomer.
• Reduced wear: PTFE has a friction coefficient of only 0.02, which is 1/40 that of rubber.
• Self-lubricating: The PTFE surface has excellent self-lubricating properties, and almost all viscous substances cannot adhere to the surface.

Sealing principle: During processing, the PTFE oil-seal lip is formed into a horn shape. After forming, PTFE has memory shrinkage, so the frictional heat generated while the lip is operating causes it to continuously contract. Without requiring a spring, it remains firmly held on the shaft, prevents a gap from forming at the shaft surface, and can compensate for wear. Product benefits: Compared with rubber oil seals, PTFE oil seals offer the following advantages: Rubber oil seals have a spring-loaded lip opening and a shaft-contact width of only 0.30.5 mm. PTFE oil seals have no dynamic spring structure, a wider lip, and a shaft-contact width of 57 mm, allowing them to maintain a sufficient oil film. They are also insensitive to an eccentric shaft and can continue to operate normally with a runout error of 0.4 mm.
