What happens when a retail genius and her amazingly talented husband follow their retirement from the Marine Corps by purchasing a kitchen store? Magic happens! In spring 2013, Johnny designed artistic, quirky, and funny LOL towels in one night. The next day, they set out to find a screen-printing machine, taught themselves how to use it, and have sold thousands of these cheerful little towels from their store in Savannah, Georgia, ever since. In collaboration with Primitives by Kathy, they are excited to take their production to a whole new level. Welcome to the world of LOLMade You Smile. In 1997, Kathy handcrafted her first primitive candle box, carefully attending to every detail, from the distressed edges to the type of ribbon on the wire handles; each was a work of passion. As Primitives by Kathy grows, the company works to give back, beginning with an initial relationship with Goodwill services and expanding into several charitable causes supported by the company and on behalf of its employees.
