Species-appropriate nesting box for great tits and other tit species, built according to NABU guidelines on the recommendation of conservationists, ornithologists, and biologists. The box is made in the Bavarian Forest from solid, untreated, weather-resistant Bavarian larch wood that is 18 mm thick. The wood is screwed, waterproof glued, and doweled. The interior base measures 15 15 cm, while the exterior box measures 19 19 31 cm (W D H), excluding the roof and mounting strip. The entrance hole has a diameter of 32 mm. The waterproof roof is made from screen-printed panel and extends over the front and sides to help keep the nest dry. The 17 cm distance between the entrance hole and the base makes it impossible for cats and martens to pull out the young brood. The smooth side of the roof faces upward so cats and martens cannot gain a foothold or wait above the entrance. Two tree-friendly aluminum nails are included for mounting. The front can be opened for cleaning. The product is fastened with German-made Stier quality screws, and all joints are additionally bonded with waterproof Ponal glue.
