Polyamide PA6 round rod supplied as raw material or semi-finished stock for machining. The rod is raw-sawn, with unmachined cut faces and edges, and may show storage marks. Typical applications include bushings, guide rails, rollers, and machine feet. It offers high impact strength, good bonding properties, high abrasion and wear resistance, good emergency-running properties, good chemical resistance, and high strength and rigidity. Water absorption is low, up to 3%. Tensile/breaking stress: 75 MPa according to DIN 53455; elongation at break: 60% according to DIN 53455; tensile-test modulus, dry: 3,000 MPa according to DIN 53457; thermal expansion coefficient: 90 10/K; specific surface resistance: >10 ohms; density: 1.14 g/cm; electrical conductivity: 2835 m/(ohmmm). Machinability is good with cooling. The material is suitable for food contact, but is not permanently UV-resistant. The product image is illustrative and may show a similar item.
