Suitable for all exterior wood, including windows, shutters, garden houses, facade cladding, half-timbered structures, doors, fences, balconies, and garden furniture, for both initial and renovation coats. The wood oil stain is a translucent, drip-reduced, easy-to-apply, water-repellent, microporous, UV-resistant wood coating. It provides excellent weather and UV protection, with good penetration, low odor, and easy application. Application and processing: - The surface must be clean, grease-free, dry, and sound; sand old coatings. - Sand weathered surfaces down to sound wood. - Remove dirt with a suitable cleaner. - Processing temperature, including drying, must be above +8 C. Wood moisture must not exceed 18%. Relative humidity must be below 60%. - For softwood in exterior applications where there is a risk of fungal attack, pretreat with a suitable impregnating primer before the initial coat. - The product has different effects on different surfaces. A test coat is required. - Stir well before and during use. Apply the wood oil stain to the wood. After one or two coats applied by brush, roller, or spray nozzle, with 12 hours of intermediate drying between coats, the wood is weather-resistant. Clean microporous coatings and sand them if necessary, then recoat as described above. Coverage: Approximately 40 ml/m; 1 liter of wood oil stain covers approximately 25 m of coated surface per application, depending on the type and surface of the wood, whether planed or sawn. Coverage may increase by a factor of 23 on grooved wood. Lower consumption affects the durability of the coating. Cleaning: Immediately after use, clean brushes and painting tools with thinner or turpentine substitute. Storage: Store in a cool place, protected from frost.
