It is highly resistant to weathering and can therefore be used for a very long time in many applications. PLEXIGLAS contains no substances hazardous to health, such as heavy metals, hormone-like substances (BPA), formaldehyde, or PCBs, and is therefore considered safe for health. Even in the event of fire, PLEXIGLAS does not produce acutely toxic smoke gases or dense smoke that obstructs visibility due to its constituents, making it a valuable high-performance material used especially to manufacture high-quality, durable consumer goods. PLEXIGLAS is approved as a building material for indoor and outdoor applications. Made in Germanyhighest quality down to the smallest detail: Original PLEXIGLAS XT is completely colorless and clear, exceptionally resistant to weathering and aging, and certified for direct contact with food. It never yellowsmany plastics visibly yellow over time. PLEXIGLAS does not: even after 30 years, its absolute yellow values remain among the lowest currently possible for plastics.
