OptiFlood efficient area lighting. Good area lighting provides uniform illumination of the desired area while avoiding uncontrolled stray light. This allows the generated light to be used efficiently while disturbing the surroundings as little as possible. For many years, Philips has offered environmentally friendly asymmetric floodlighting systems for general area lighting as well as security and industrial lighting. OptiFlood's highly efficient optical system provides controlled light distribution, both for area lighting using asymmetric optics and for pathway lighting with POT road-lighting optics. The flat glass cover and optimized light-intensity distribution effectively prevent uncontrolled direct emission of light into the sky or surrounding area. Tilting the floodlight upward is not required in many applications. The MVP504 and MVP506 versions are available with two reflector types for maximum application flexibility: asymmetric optics or POT road-lighting optics. They can be used with highly efficient CosmoPolis metal halide lamps for good color rendering or with high-pressure sodium lamps for economical operation. With its compact shape and appealing design, OptiFlood is suitable for applications where design and aesthetics are just as important as technical performance. The design focuses not only on the exterior form but also on details such as the mounting bracket cleverly secured in the luminaire housing and the degree scale integrated into the hinge for angle adjustment. The OptiFlood family consists of the OptiFlood MVP506, MVP504, and BVP506 floodlights. The large-format MVP506 is intended for high wattages and high mounting heights, while the small-format MVP504 is intended for lower wattages and lower application heights...
