PFERD offers three different sizes. The appropriate arbor must be selected based on the hole saw diameter and the available drive machine. The compression spring prevents the cut material from becoming jammed between the inner wall of the hole saw and the drill bit. The material is ejected by the spring force. If this effect is not desired for a particular application, such as with already installed pipes, the spring can be removed by hand with little effort and without additional tools. Hole saw arbors are used to hold the hole saw and pilot drill.
