Product description Pentax Sport Optics series The roof-prism and Porro-prism binoculars in the S series feature objective lens diameters greater than 40 mm and continue the A series. With the same high-quality coatings as the A series, they provide excellent image quality. This series is characterized by high brightness due to its large objective lens diameter. Important features: Multi-coating on all lenses Optimal light transmission is one of the most important factors in binocular viewing quality and is also a focus of the latest technologies used in the current Pentax Sport Optics series. Full multi-coating on all lenses is the new standard coating. It improves light transmission and contrast while minimizing reflections and maintaining excellent color fidelity. Phase correction The design of roof prisms presents a particular challenge because the light rays are reflected several times, which can cause a shift in the light waves. An additional phase-correction coating on all Pentax roof prisms corrects the frequency of the light rays back to its natural value. Protective lens coating The lenses in the S series feature Protective Lens Coating. This nanotechnology-based, water-, oil-, dust-, and dirt-repellent hydrophobic coating on the outer optical elements helps maintain viewing comfort over time. As a result, the corresponding Pentax binoculars are also suitable for demanding viewing conditions. Internal focusing Internal focusing protects the binoculars against the ingress of dust, foreign particles, and moisture, helping maintain functionality over a long period of use. BaK4 glass prisms Because light rays are deflected several times at different angles within a prism, the properties of the optical glass are crucial. Pentax binoculars therefore use only prisms made from high-purity BaK4 glass with a high refractive index. Long eye relief The long eye relief of Pentax binoculars allows for comfortable use. It is particularly beneficial for eyeglass wearers, as it allows them to see the full field of view. Set includes: Pentax SP 10x50 WP binoculars, as described, plus booklet and operating instructions.
