Countersunk sheet metal screws with TORX drive. Sheet metal screws do not require a pre-cut thread. For thin sheet metal, pre-drilling may be omitted; otherwise, pre-drilling with a drill matching the core-hole diameter is required. Use a low rotational speed with a cordless screwdriver or drill. Countersunk sheet metal screws cut the head too deeply into the material, so they should not be used without countersinking first. Unlike other metal screws, sheet metal screws do not have a metric thread. Instead, they are tapered, similar to wood screws. They can be identified by their compact shape and the thread extending all the way to the screw head. Threadlocker is generally not required when using sheet metal screws. These screws are used to join sheet metal in profiled sheets, facade cladding, and load-bearing structures. Suitable sheet materials include stainless steel, aluminum, steel, brass, nickel, and copper. The connection can be removed again at any time. Made of rust-resistant A2 (V2A) stainless steel, these screws are suitable for indoor and outdoor use, including damp rooms and outdoor areas. Stainless steel sheet metal screws are suitable only for use with soft metals.
