These countersunk TORX sheet metal screws do not require a pre-cut thread. For thin sheet metal, pre-drilling may be omitted; otherwise, pre-drill with a bit matching the appropriate pilot-hole diameter. Use a low rotational speed with a cordless screwdriver or drill. Countersunk sheet metal screws sink the head deeply into the material and should therefore not be used without countersinking. Unlike other metal screws, sheet metal screws do not have a metric thread; they are tapered similarly to wood screws, with a thread extending to the screw head. Threadlocker is generally not required. They can be used to join sheets made of stainless steel, aluminum, steel, brass, nickel, or copper, and the connection can be undone at any time. Made of rust-resistant A2 (V2A) stainless steel, these screws are suitable for indoor and outdoor use. Stainless steel sheet metal screws are suitable only for use with soft metals.
