The new Okuma Salina spinning reels are lightweight and ready for action. They feature Okuma's Litecast body material, which is 15% lighter than die-cast aluminum. These reels are built for everything from light inshore fishing to heavy offshore fishing. The Salina features a corrosion-resistant 6HPB + 1RB stainless steel ball-bearing system with a full grease pack and waterproof seals on key bearings. Its Hybrid Carbonite and Japanese felt Dual Force drag system delivers over 15 kg of fish-stopping drag. With Okuma's HDGII high-density main gear and precision-machined brass pinion gear, you get smooth performance cast after cast. Okuma also uses a machined aluminum handle arm with a machined, two-tone anodized aluminum ball knob for a custom look. The three larger reels feature a manual bail trip function. There are six models in the Salina spinning reel range: the 4,000, 5,000, and 6,000 reels all feature high-speed 5.8:1 gear ratios, while the 8,000, 10,000, and 14,000 reels all feature standard 5.4:1 gear ratios. All models feature a reversible screw-in handle system that can be changed from left- to right-hand retrieve.
