NEW PAINT IT EASY Batik Wax, 250 g

Description

• For batik dyeing and washing-machine use
• 10 g dyes approximately 150 g of fabric (dry weight)
• Approximately 340 g of salt is required per 10 g of dye
• For light-colored natural fibers
• Wool and silk are suitable for hand dyeing only

These powdered batik dyes can be used to dye textiles in the washing machine or in a dye bath. The dye is suitable for both techniques. In both cases, only natural fabrics can be dyed; synthetic fibers are not suitable. Fabrics must be free of sizing. Textilfit can be used to reliably remove sizing if you are unsure whether it has been completely washed out. Stains and worn areas will not be covered or removed by the batik dyes. Optimal results can only be achieved with fabrics in good condition. Use the dye to refresh the colors of your textiles or to dye them a completely new color. Light-colored fabrics can only be overdyed with darker shades. A water temperature of 60C is optimal for the dyeing result. Dyeing at a lower temperature is possible to a limited extent. Please read the relevant instructions carefully to achieve the best results. The batik dye does not contain a fixing agent and, without fixation, is neither lightfast nor boilfast. Subsequent fixation with Batik After-Treatment No. 111 is therefore recommended, available in 25 ml and 250 ml sizes. After fixation, the laundry is machine-washable at up to 30C. Dyed garments should always be washed separately. The colors can be mixed with one another and are intense and bright due to their high pigmentation. Table salt is also required for dyeing in the washing machine.
