Description

  • LARGE PACK, APPROX. 500 G Because the fibers have very little inherent weight, this quantity covers a substantial area. Suitable for larger surfaces, shop windows, and multiple projects.
  • BLEACHED The light color is created by bleaching the fibers. Their curly, slightly woody structure remains fully intact.
  • FOR FILLING AND SCATTERING For filling glass vases, bowls, trays, and candle plates; concealing floral foam; and decorating gifts and gift baskets.
  • FOR MODEL MAKING AND FLORISTRY Use in model making for shrubs, trees, and vegetation along railway tracks. In floristry for wreaths, flower hoops, arrangements, and bouquets.
  • NATURAL PRODUCT This is plant fiber, not real moss. Color, shape, and structure may vary from the image; these differences are natural.

Curly Moss is a versatile decorative material: it weighs almost nothing, fills a lot of space, and can be pulled apart with your fingers as needed. Despite its name, it is not real moss, but naturally curly fibers from the tamarind tree, botanically Tamarindus indica. The fibers are obtained from the fruit shells, dried, and processed; the product is imported from India. The light color is created by bleaching the fibers, while their structure remains unchanged. Unlike real moss, the fibers do not crumble or rot and retain their curly shape over time. They require neither water nor care and remain ready to use year after year. You will receive approximately 500 g. Because the fibers have almost no inherent weight, this quantity fills a substantial amount of space and is suitable for shop windows, large wreaths, or a full season of crafting. Curly Moss is most commonly used as filling and scattering material. In glass vases, bowls, and on candle plates, it fills gaps and provides a calm base for an arrangement. In floristry, it conceals floral foam, wire, and vessel edges. In gift baskets, it serves as padding. The material has also long been used in model making. Pulled apart, it can be used to create shrubs, tree crowns, and vegetation along railway tracks. Mixing several colors adds depth to a landscape. Curly Moss is also suitable for dried-flower arrangements, including wreaths, flower hoops, and arrangements combined with dried flowers, grasses, or feathers. Tip: Pull the fibers apart loosely instead of using them as a compact bundle; this makes the quantity appear larger. As this is a natural product, color, shape, and structure may vary from the image. These differences are not a defect. Scope of delivery: approximately 500 g of bleached Curly Moss, dry and ready to use.
