MESAROS carriage bolts with square neck and full thread (DIN 603) and self-locking hex nuts with polyamide insert (DIN 985). Product information: Carriage bolts are particularly suitable for wood or metal connections. They can withstand greater loads and can be installed indoors or outdoors. The bolts have a flat, rounded head. Accordingly, they have no drive and cannot be installed with a screwdriver or wrench. They are installed by inserting the bolt into the drilled hole and fitting a nut on the reverse side. This fixes the square neck located directly beneath the head. For optimal results, the additional use of washers is recommended; these are also available in our store. Lock nuts are frequently used in combination with carriage bolts. They are part of every standard range of hardware with mechanical components and are therefore an important fastening element. With these lock nuts, the frictional connection is created by clamping the bolt's thread turns in the polyamide plastic section of the nut.
