Flat round-head carriage bolt with square neck, fully threaded, and self-locking cap nut, made of A2 stainless steel. These carriage bolts are suitable for heavy-duty constructions. A matching nut is required. The square neck beneath the bolt head prevents the bolt from turning while the nut is tightened. The mating profile must therefore be made in the workpiece. This is not necessary in wooden workpieces, as the square neck draws into the wood when the nut is tightened. Applications include situations where unauthorized loosening is not desired, such as the outside of locks, wooden doors, privacy screens, and fence construction; carports and garden sheds; mechanical engineering; scaffolding and trade-show construction; and vehicle construction, such as attaching truck bodies.
