Technical properties: Water-repellent, deeply penetrating impregnation. Water-vapor permeable. Tested for migration behavior in accordance with DIN EN 71, Part 3. Color: Colorless to slightly yellowish. Light, absorbent substrates dry somewhat darker. Depending on the wood grain, different types of wood may appear more enhanced. Substrate and preparation: For optimum results, observe the technical data sheets for all products used. The substrate must be dry, sound, clean, free of grease and dust, and absorbent. Pre-sand wooden surfaces with 150180 grit in the direction of the grain. Application: By brushing, rolling, spraying, dipping, or machine application. Coating system for untreated or absorbent substrates: Uniform saturation of the surface is achieved using a wet-on-wet application. Apply one generous coat. After 20 minutes, carefully distribute the glossy excess and apply new oil once to the dry areas. After a further 30 minutes, carefully remove the glossy excess. Allow to dry for 1224 hours. Repeat this process until the substrate no longer absorbs oil. Drying time: Dust-dry after approximately 56 hours. Can be recoated after approximately 1224 hours. This system requires sufficient atmospheric oxygen to dry. Ensure good ventilation; where air is stagnant, use a fan, for example, to prevent odor buildup.
