KIRSCHEN carving gouges are hand-forged from special tool steel with a high carbon content. With a hardness of HRc 61 throughout the entire usable length of the blade, they far exceed DIN requirements and produce a smooth cut thanks to their groove-free polished surface. The gouges are supplied from the factory with a 17 cutting-edge angle and sharpened ready for use. This angle is suitable for soft to medium-hard wood.
