Caution: sharp edges. Sheets are cut with a guillotine shear and the edges are not deburred. Surface scratches cannot be ruled out. Alloy C-276 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with an addition of tungsten, as well as small amounts of carbon and silicon. The material is suitable for cold and hot forming and offers excellent resistance to pitting, crevice, and stress corrosion. Grade 2.4819 is resistant to mineral and organic acids, seawater, moist chlorine gas, and chloride solutions. It has good weldability and can be welded using all common welding processes. Alloy C-276 is used primarily in the chemical industry, for example in the production and processing of acids. It is also frequently used in environmental engineering, including waste incineration and flue-gas desulfurization plants. Other typical applications of Hastelloy C-276 include the pulp and paper industry, oil and gas production, and equipment and components for sour-gas applications.
