Flanged needle roller bearings are single- or double-row units consisting of machined outer rings with grooves, needle roller and cage assemblies, and a removable inner sleeve. These X-life needle roller bearings have optimized raceway surfaces, resulting in higher load capacity and longer rated life. Needle roller bearings without an inner ring have particularly compact dimensions. However, they require a shaft raceway that is hardened and ground. The bearings are available in a single-row design; RNA69 is a double-row design for sizes up to 40 mm. Needle roller bearings with an inner ring are used when the shaft is not configured as a rolling-bearing raceway. These bearings are available in a single-row design; NA69 is a double-row design for diameters up to 32 mm.
