Tap made of high-performance high-speed steel (HSS). Suitable for through holes and blind holes in unalloyed and low-alloy steels with a tensile strength of up to 800 N/mm, malleable cast iron, and non-ferrous metals. The thread is cut in three operations. Taper tap: approx. 68 thread lead. Further technical specifications: Type: M, metric, DIN ISO 13; design: square shank, right-hand cutting; thread length: 24.0 mm; cutting material: HSS; flank angle: 60; strength class: 800 N/mm; coating: bright. Main applications: aluminum, brass, plastics, and steel with a tensile strength below 800 N/mm. Secondary applications: bronze and cast iron.
