Guardmax Zippered Mattress Encasement

Description

• Sealed on all six sides against bedbugs: The nylon zipper runs around three sides and tucks beneath a sewn protective flap, leaving no open corners or gaps.
• Soft, quiet jersey-knit cover: The polyester surface feels more like a soft T-shirt than plastic and stays quiet when you turn. The breathable jersey fabric is machine washable and suitable for low-heat tumble drying.
• Waterproof protection: A waterproof layer beneath the knit helps keep sweat, spills, and nighttime accidents away from the mattress.
• Dust mite and allergen barrier: The tightly knit fabric and sealed zipper help keep dust mite allergens contained inside the mattress. The fabric is certified to OEKO-TEX Standard 100.
• Size and depth: Fits a mattress measuring 137.2 203.2 cm with a depth of 30.5 cm; stretches up to 13 cm. Measure first, then pull it over the mattress like a pillowcase and zip it closed.

Guardmax has been sealing mattresses against bedbugs for years. This solid-color jersey version is designed for people who want to enclose the bed and stop thinking about it. It fits over the mattress like a giant pillowcase. A nylon zipper runs along three sides and ends beneath a sewn protective flap, leaving no open corners or gaps around the zipper. Once closed, the encasement helps prevent anything living inside the mattress from reaching a food source and helps prevent anything new from entering. Add the matching box spring encasement to seal both the mattress and the foundation. The outer fabric is 100 g/m knitted polyester with a 0.025 mm TPU film laminated underneath. The knit is the layer you feel: soft, matte, and quiet rather than plastic, and comfortable enough to sleep directly on. The film blocks liquids, so sweat, a spilled drink, or a wet night stays on top instead of reaching the mattress. It does not bead up and wipe away, so treat a spill as you would with a sheet. The encasement is machine washable, suitable for warm washing and low-temperature tumble drying, and is sewn for a depth of 25.4 to 30.5 cm. Fabric testing shows a 10,000 mm water column, 128 lbf burst strength, and 20,000 rubs of abrasion resistance. It is made from OEKO-TEX Standard 100-certified fabric. As a dust mite encasement, it serves the same purpose as a bedbug-proof mattress protector: the tight knit and zipper closure on every side help keep mite allergens inside the mattress instead of allowing them to move into the bedding. Its waterproof, zippered design can be useful for deep-storage mattresses, dorm beds, guest rooms, rental properties, RV bunks, or children who still have nighttime accidents.
