This INOX-type machine tap cuts metric coarse threads in rust- and acid-resistant steels, including austenitic, martensitic, free-machining, and ferritic steels. It has a Form C chamfer with 2 to 3 threads. Made from HSS-E PM, the tap provides good thread surfaces and long tool life. A TiN surface coating contributes to durability. The threads cut with this tap comply with the ISO 2/6H tolerance for precise-fit threaded connections.
