FRAMO Acrylic XT (extruded) is an industrial-quality acrylic sheet cut to size. The highly transparent, 4 mm thick plastic glass is available in 1 cm increments in sizes from 10 x 10 cm up to 100 x 150 cm. FRAMO acrylic sheets offer high resistance to aging and weathering. The clear, glossy material has high break resistance and is flexible, easy to shape, and easy to process. The sheets can be sawn, drilled, glued, cut, and printed, making them suitable for replacing more expensive and heavier real glass. Acrylic XT is manufactured using a complex extrusion process in which acrylic granulate is heated and melted, formed into sheets, and rolled to the desired thickness. The sheets provide excellent light transmission, are flexible and bendable, have high break and impact resistance, and weigh approximately 50% less than real glass. They are resistant to aging, weathering, and UV radiation, and remain non-yellowing for 2030 years. Sawing produces clean cut edges. Both sides are covered with a very thin transport-protection film, which should be removed before use. Please note that the manufacturing-related cutting tolerance is approximately 13 mm. Clean only with water and, if necessary, a small amount of dish soap; alternatively, use plastic cleaner or glass cleaner. Avoid cleaning products containing strong solvents, such as acetone.
