The Fotodiox Mount Adapter lets you use Leica M lenses on Micro Four Thirds camera bodies. Sharing lenses can provide distinct advantages, including continued use of certain prime lenses and savings compared with purchasing new lenses. Fotodiox offers adapters for various formats, including larger-format lenses used on smaller-format sensors. Using a larger-format lens on a smaller sensor can provide edge-to-edge sharpness and help minimize the effects of lens distortion and aberration by utilizing the center, or sweet spot, of the larger lenss image circle. Made with precision, the all-metal design and polished surface provide a smooth mounting surface and long-lasting use. This adapter allows Leica M lenses to be used with Micro Four Thirds cameras and works with both breech-lock and bayonet-lock mounts. Although the lens will fit physically, automatic diaphragm control, autofocus, and other automatic functions will not operate correctly with this adapter. Stop-down mode must be used for metering because the camera body cannot control the lens aperture. Manual or aperture-priority mode can be used on Micro Four Thirds cameras. Infinity focus is supported. Compatible cameras include, but are not limited to: Olympus PEN E-PL1, E-PL1s, E-PL2, E-PL3, E-P2, E-P3, E-M, OM-D, E-M5, E-M10; Panasonic Lumix DMC-G1, G2, G3, G10, GX1, GH1, GH2, GF1, GF2, GF3, GF5, GH4; Panasonic AG-AF100 mirrorless digital cameras; and the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera (BMPCC). Note: The pictured product may differ slightly in appearance from the actual product, including color, font style, or other cosmetic details, due to design improvements.
