The deep-hole flute has internally ground flutes and a CNC robot-ground finish for very good chip removal. Suitable for dimensionally accurate holes in wood, especially hard wood materials. It can also be used with certain plastics, including acrylic/Plexiglas, Corian, fiberglass-reinforced plastic, HPL-coated materials, polycarbonate, PVC, and Trespa. Specially designed flutes provide very good chip evacuation. Particularly suitable for stationary use; in softwood, use in a cordless drill is only conditionally recommended due to insufficient speed. For this application, Famag recommends series 1591 with a cylindrical shank or series 1596/1597 with a bit shank.
