We produce a special bearing for hub caps. In a standard radial cartridge bearing, only 3 or 4 balls come into contact with the hub when the bearing is loaded. In an angular-contact bearing, all balls are in contact and distribute the forces over a larger surface to reduce friction and minimize wear. The set can be adapted for a more stable wheel and easier disc-brake operation while allowing the wheel to rotate freely. This special series is intended for extreme applications such as pivots, pedals, and bottom brackets. The bearings contain balls without a cage and have 1.5 times the static capacity of standard ball bearings. The balls are Grade 10, and the seals are double-lip (2RS). Dimensions: 12 x 28 x 8 cm. SSC features a steel flat shield on one side for lubricating the bearing.
