Product description Carriage bolts are also known as coach bolts, cup square bolts, or flat round head bolts. The top of the carriage bolt has a rounded, domed head without a drive recess. This allows the bolt head to sit flat against the material and reduces the risk of injury when installed. A square neck is formed directly beneath the head for fastening. The matching recess is made in the workpiece, securing the carriage bolt against turning during installation. The underside of the bolt has a metric full thread. To fasten the carriage bolt, simply screw a suitable nut onto the thread. Applications include: Machine construction, scaffolding and playgrounds, fences and privacy screens, carports, door and gate construction, and more.
