Description

  • Model of a double-acting steam engine; steam is controlled by switching the valve, allowing air intake from either end of the cylinder to alternately drive the piston.
  • Some parts are transparent, allowing the operating details of each component to be observed from all sides without blind spots.
  • Includes a cylinder, piston, steam chamber, steam-flow reversing valve, crank-and-connecting-rod mechanism, flywheel, support, and base plate.
  • The cylinder and steam chamber are made of transparent plastic to facilitate observation of the piston and steam-flow reversing valve in operation.
  • A steam passage above the cylinder connects to the steam chamber; one side of the chamber has a steam-pressure adjustment mechanism for regulating operating speed, and the flywheel is made of cast iron.
