diconfa SBR rubber strip with a smooth top surface and a self-adhesive underside. Color: black. The strips have a thickness tolerance of 10%, but at least 0.2 mm; length and width tolerance is 1.5%. The strip can be cut to size with a sharp utility knife; for straight cuts, a template or guide rail is recommended. The bonding surface must be suitable, dry, free of dust and grease. Remove the protective film before application. Warming the substrate and adhesive, for example with a hot-air gun, makes application easier and improves adhesion. When bonding around curves, use a low material thickness; 0.5 to 2 mm is recommended. The rubber has the typical rubber smell that may be familiar from new car tires; this will dissipate over time. For indoor use, extended airing outdoors is the only way to reduce the smell. The SBR rubber strips are designed for simple technical applications without high requirements for resistance to media, temperature, or similar conditions. The adhesive can generally be removed from the substrate after a short time and is fully cured after approximately 24 hours. Please ensure that the surface is suitable for bonding.
