PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), also known as Teflon, withstands temperatures from -200C to +260C and offers very high chemical and media resistance. It is UV-stabilized, weather-resistant, electrically insulating, nonflammable, environmentally friendly, and suitable for food contact. The sheet has a very low surface friction coefficient and a very smooth surface that prevents adhesion; bonding is not possible. No harmful substances are released, and the material is non-toxic.
