diconfa acrylic glass square rod, cut to size from transparent, crystal-clear polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA). Available cross-sections range from 5 x 5 mm to 40 x 40 mm, with lengths from 10 mm to 1,000 mm. The material is physiologically harmless, suitable for food contact, and has high light transmission of >90%. Cut finish: rough-sawn and deburred; length tolerance: -2/+3 mm. Temperature resistance: -20C to +80C. The material can be drilled, sawn, milled, and bonded. When cutting at high speeds, sufficient cooling is required because overheating caused by friction can make the acrylic glass begin to smear. This effect can be used for forming processes, as the material becomes rubber-elastic at approximately 150C to 170C and can then be bent, stretched, expanded, or blow-molded. Select the desired cross-section via Material and the required length via Size. Applications include lighting, LED technology, model making, trade show construction, furniture manufacturing, decorative items, aquariums, and more.
