diconfa acrylic glass square rod, cut to size from transparent, crystal-clear PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate). Available cross-sections range from 5 5 mm to 40 40 mm, with lengths from 10 mm to 1,000 mm. The material is physiologically safe, suitable for food contact, and has high light transmission, stated here as above 90%. The cut ends are sawn and deburred, with a length tolerance of -2/+3 mm. Temperature resistance ranges from -20C to +80C. The acrylic can be drilled, sawn, milled, and bonded effectively. When cutting at high speeds, sufficient cooling is required because overheating from friction may cause the acrylic to smear. At approximately 150C to 170C, it becomes rubber-elastic and can be used for bending, stretching, expanding, or blow molding. Suitable for lighting, LED technology, model making, trade show construction, furniture manufacturing, decorative items, aquariums, and similar applications.
