The rods can be cut and shaped for replacement parts and other applications. Their smooth surface makes them easy to form without cracking, and they can be cut to the desired size. Useful tips: Deformation does not affect use. The rods are not recommended for work environments requiring high coaxiality. Secure them with a three-jaw chuck and check runout accuracy at the other end. To help prevent rust, reduce contact with air or keep them away from air. Add some rust-preventive oil during storage.
