Item name: Chinese Silver Grass 'Ferner Osten' - Miscanthus sinensis Scientific name: Miscanthus sinensis 'Ferner Osten' Maximum height: 160 cm Blooming period: AugustOctober Description: When the garden is no longer in bloom, ornamental grasses come into their own. They add splashes of color to the garden in autumn and winter. Ornamental grasses are also excellent for edging and framing beds or other areas. As a solitary plant, they can also provide a striking splash of color in the garden in autumn. Chinese silver grass, with its many varieties, is one of the best-known and most widely used ornamental grasses and should be planted in small groups of 34 plants. This ornamental grass requires a sunny to partially shaded location. The garden soil should be loamy to sandy or slightly humus-rich. Miscanthus sinensis plants are winter-hardy garden plants and also tolerate substantial pruning in spring. If no plant size is specified, the following applies: If you order before the blooming period, you will receive plants that are newly sprouting or about to sprout, depending on the time of year. If you purchase after the blooming period, the plants are generally cut back, have retreated into the soil, or have been replanted as bulbs. We sell garden plants grown outdoors. They are always sprouted and grown according to the season.
