Brushes with a standard M10x1.5 internal thread and a usable length of at least 60 mm. Each brush has two PTFE/Teflon sleeves that can be shifted or shortened as they wear, allowing you to work continuously within the brushs optimal usable range. Carbon fiber brushes for cleaning welds and removing heat discoloration after welding stainless steels V2A, V4A, AISI 206, AISI 304, AISI 316, or similar metals and materials. These brushes are intended for use with a pickling solution while electrical current or voltage is continuously applied; the direction of current flow or polarity may vary. They can be used on welds produced by TIG, MIG, MAG, or WIG welding, as well as for passivating welds or stainless steel. Brush service life may vary depending on the welding process. With suitable additives, these brushes can also be used for electropolishing or marking. For best results, keep the working area as small as possible, as carbon brushes are most effective this way. Teflon tubes made from fluoroplastic, also known as PTFE, are well suited for this purpose. They are resistant to chemicals and withstand temperatures up to 160C. These are also available from us as accessories or, if included in the offer, as an added item. Legal information: Our brushes are made from electrical engineering materials and are subject to and comply with the requirements of the European Low Voltage Directive. The protective coating of the brushes/bristles is temperature-resistant up to 160C, resistant when used with chemicals, and provides electrical breakdown protection of more than 10 kV/mm. After use with cleaning fluid and subsequent storage, crystalline deposits may form on the brushes; however, these do not impair the cleaning process. We also use these brushes in our own production. Please observe the safety instructions provided by the manufacturer of your pickling device.
