B+W ND 0.9 MRC Nano Master 55mm Neutral Density Filter (16x Coated, Slim, Premium)

Description

• CREATIVE THROUGH LESS LIGHT Neutral density filter reduces incoming light by 3 stops without affecting colors or contrast; ideal for motion-blur effects.
• COATING: 7+1 MRC coating provides high transmission and maximum anti-reflection. The additional Nano outer layer reduces dirt adhesion through the lotus effect.
• MASTER LINE: Extremely slim filter mount prevents vignetting, even with a short wide-angle zoom lens starting at 12mm APS; front thread for a lens cap or lens hood.
• MADE IN GERMANY: Schneider Kreuznach (B+W), a specialist in precision mechanics for filters, photography, optics, and precision engineering for more than 100 years.

This B+W neutral density filter reduces light by 3 stops. It is particularly useful for video when, in bright conditions, an appropriate aperture setting cannot be selected or a shallow depth of field is specifically desired. With this filter strength, a noticeable motion effect can already be seen in water. The B+W 803 ND 0.9 neutral density filter is also excellent for creating motion-blur effects.
