Straight-fluted tap made from 6542 high-speed steel. It is used to machine threads in various through-holes or shallow blind holes; deep blind holes cannot be machined. Suitable for copper, brass, A3 steel, aluminum, cast iron, and other materials. Typically used with tapping machines, integrated bench drills, CNC lathes, machining centers, and similar equipment. Manual operation is also possible. During operation, adjust the speed according to the hardness of the material: the harder the material being processed, the slower the speed. Recommended feed rates: hard steel: 510 m/min; cast iron: 810 m/min; ordinary steel: 615 m/min. Material: high-speed steel. Cutting direction: right-hand. Package includes: 1 M22 x 2.5 tap. Tips: 1. Take appropriate protective measures and wear safety glasses and protective gloves. 2. Before tapping, verify that the round-hole diameter is appropriate. Be sure to select the suitable tap for the threading process and apply rust-preventive oil for maintenance after use. 3. During tapping, adjust the speed according to the hardness of the material. Add water or coolant to prevent excessive temperatures and reduce tool wear.
